We’re moving to the Gympie Woodworks Museum

by Bronwyn on April 29, 2011

Private Forestry Services Qld has been engaged by the Gympie Regional Council to manage the Gympie Woodworks Museum located on the north end of Gympie at Fraser Road. Woodworks Museum.

The Museum was built to celebrate Gympie’s past Timber history and industry. PFSQ intends to extend this museum to include interactive displays and to showcase Forestry both by it’s history and also it’s industrial status as a significant sustainable production system.

PFSQ takes over the management of the Museum from May 1 2011. The Museum will close for a few weeks while new offices are built and some changes are made. The process of updating the Museum will be over a period of years, but it will be a rewarding challenge.  A team of volunteers will help with the changes and the Museum will become a community highlight, both for family days, education days and general interest.
